Updated information on County Commissioner race. Norfolk Daily News William Goodpasture, the Stanton County commissioner who resigned last October, was arrested Friday morning on a warrant.
I just went to the Stanton County Courthouse website and checked out the 2012 Primary Local Candidate List and found out some interesting information on this years filings

In the Dist. #3 County Commissioner race two gentlemen have filed. William T. Goodpasture and Jerry Weatherholt (incumbent) and for Stanton Community School Dist. #3 there are 2 new filings and 1 incumbent filing. Mark Christensen is the only school board incumbent that has refiled and Kirk J Van Pelt and Kent A Stallbaum are new candidates. We would like to thank incumbents M. Marotz and B. Nordby for their years of service to the Stanton Community Schools as school board members.
For the City of Stanton there are 2 City Councilman seats up this year. It looks as though the incumbent B Remm did not choose to refile. We would like to thank him for his service the past 4 years. In ward B the incumbent C. Warneke has refiled for another term.
There is still time for anyone who would like to throw their hat into the ring and file for any of these positions. Final deadline is March 1st for all new filings.
